Mm..Food is the second studio album from British Hip-Hop rapper MF DOOM. The album is a concept album and a prequel to DOOMs first album “Operation: Doomsday”. Mm..Food is an anagram for MF DOOM

Track 1: Beef Rapp

Beef Rapp is a song about America's obesity crisis and how it's the leading cause of death in the USA. “I suggest you change your diet. It can lead to high blood pressure if you fry it. Or even a stroke, heart attack, heart disease. It ain't no startin' back once arteries start to squeeze”. One of the lines also hints at the villain's origin story coming up later in the album. “He wears a mask just to cover the raw flesh A rather ugly brother with flows that's gorgeous”.

Track 5: Deep Fried Frenz

This song has a monologue at the end of it elaborating on the origin story of DOOM. This is the first song on act 2 of the story in this album and it kicks off the flashback to DOOMs past. “I first met DOOM years ago When he wanted to be alone, alone to pursue his forbidden experiments. One day while conducting a secret experiment. Later, when he recovered from his injuries. Instead of having learned his lesson, DOOM was bitter, angry, vengeful. (What have I done to myself? My face, it is hideous)”

Track 12: Kon Queso

This song kickstarts the finale of the album where DOOM completes his weapon and begins his takeover of the world. Looking at the rhyming scheme in this song. He has at least 2 rhymes in any given bar because the song is faster paced and the rhymes make the lines flow together better.

Plot

The plot of Mm..Food has 3 acts where the middle act is his villain origin story. In the first act. Spanning from Beef Rapp - One Beer, DOOM escapes from prison and flies to New York to meet with an investor. He then begins construction on a super weapon in order to mind control leaders of the united nations to vote him as Master of the world.

The second act from Deep Fried Frenz - Guinnessez tells the villain origin story of DOOM. Where he gets in a science experement accident as a young adult. Causing him to search the world for a cure for the scars on his face. He eventually discovers a castle where he can control the minds of others. Meanwhile a father and son are also in search of the castle to stop people from entering.

The finale of the album from Kon Queso - Kookies brings the story back to present day New York where DOOMs machine is complete and he is voted in as Master of the world. At the same time, a news reporter is attempting to foil DOOMs plans, unsuccessfully.

Production

The Production of mm food was entirely done by doom himself. He used drum pads with samples of chopped songs loaded which he got from vinyl records to have the warm feel of vinyl in his music. He also used a simple mixer/arranger to put together each song on the album. All this creates an underground darker sound for the whole album.
